Kobe Bryant withdraws his name from playing in upcoming Rio Olympics

Kobe Bryant, who is playing in final 20th NBA season, earlier mused about joining the 2016 US Olympics team in Rio de Janeiro. However, it seems that he has since had a change of heart, ruling himself out of playing in the 2016 Olympics.

Bryant said he would look to support his countrymen from afar and that "I think it's their time. I think it's their time.". Of course, many have wondered whether Bryant, who is having a dismal final season, would have deserved to make the Olympic team to begin with.
