Lakers re-sign Metta World Peace for his locker room presence
The Lakers have officially re-signed Metta World Peace saying that his leadership and mentoring abilities will make an excellent contribution to the team’s young core group. According to Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak, he was brought in because: ''I think he'd be great in the locker room with young players”.
World Peace last played for the lakers in 2013 and last played in the NBA in 2014, having played in China and Italy over the past year. Best known for his defensive abilities, World Peace has also been involved in a number of altercations, including his famous run into the stands and his elbow to James Harden’s head.
